  • DAI Letter to NBC

         Recently it was brought to the DAI's attention that there was an episode of NBC's Law and Order, SVU, which made a disparaging remark against our crime lab.       In the episode "Double Strands" there was a reference made that the Nassau County Crime Lab was involved in an "evidence tampering" scandal to raise "conviction rates," along with several other Crime labs.  Although we adknowledge that the network has the ability to use creative license, it is an absolute travesty that they use it to defame the reputations of the Department and of the honest and hardworking detectives who work in our lab.

  • Congratulations to the DAI Softball Team

    September 6, 2011

     Congratulations to the DAI Softball Team on   winning the Nassau County Police League Championship!  The team defeated the IRS team (3 time defending champ) in the finals 18-9. Contributions were made by everyone on the team thru out the championship run.
